This very popular variety is imported from Thailand
There are approximately 55 different varieties of lemon grass, which belongs to the family of sweet grass plants. Lemon grass has its origin in South East Asia, Sri Lanka, India and Australia
The plant, also known as Citronella, is mainly used as a spice in Asian cuisine. The dried plant is used in cut or ground form. However, the fresh stalk of lemon grass has an extraordinary, slightly rose-like and fresh, lemon aroma with an exotic note of its own. The fresh or dried leaves are also used in tea blends for a thirst-quenching effect.
